At a church leadership conference in July 1991, Vineyard Christian Fellowship founder John Wimber taught on ten concepts he called the “genetic code” for churches looking to become God-worshiping, Jesus-centered, and Spirit-directed communities set apart for kingdom purposes. In this book, author Marty Boller takes these ten concepts and discusses, in his own commentary, the implications of them for the twenty-first century.

Marty BollerMarty Boller and his wife Sandy live in the Heartland of Iowa. They have served in pastoral ministry for thirty years, with much of that time spent within the Association of Vineyard Churches. Marty has also worked alongside Pastor Francis Frangipane and as a field representative for Promise Keepers. The Bollers are presently in transition from their role as senior pastors at the Vineyard church they planted in 1998 to spiritual directors serving the larger body of Christ, spreading the vision of Christ-centered contemplative activism wherever they go.
